Event Rules and Liability Release
Every Attendee at Spring Fling Leather-Fest 2018 must agree to the following:
Spring Fling Leather-Fest EVENT RULES
Sales of any product, item or service is limited to those who are listed vendors at the conference.
The privacy of attendees is of the utmost importance to SFLF. Photography/videography/audio recordings of any kind are not allowed at SFLF by regular attendees except in private settings. Select media representatives will have pre-authorization to take photos (but not at the play parties.) We suggest that you leave your cameras in your tents or rooms. Any attendee caught using a camera (including cellphone cameras) in restricted areas might have his/her registration immediately cancelled and the equipment confiscated and checked to ensure that no photos or recordings were taken. That person could be banned from further participation in the 2016 event and could be permanently banned from participating in future SFLF events. There is no exception to this rule.
SFLF pre-authorized designated Photographers will have photo privileges throughout the weekend. These pre-authorized guests will be identified by a bright yellow Photographer tag attached to their SFLF lanyard name badge.
Attendees who DO NOT wish to have their photograph taken will need to get a special red, lanyard name badge insert at SFLF Registration.
Attendees without the red, lanyard name badge insert authorize and permit, SFLF and it’s designated photographers to use his/her name, likeness and all reproduction thereof in any and all media now or hereafter. This includes use of photos for marketing on social media, the SFLF website, and other locations.
Designated Photographers will not be allowed in Play Parties or private gatherings. Designated Photographers must request prior permission from the workshop presenter before taking photographs in workshops.
All photos taken by event photographers will be screened twice independently by members of its volunteer staff to ensure no green-lanyard/opt-out attendees are in an image frame. Should this occur, the photo will be cropped to remove the opt-out attendee from the image. If editing cannot be done effectively, the entire image containing the opt-out attendee will be deleted entirely.
Cellphone use (including any and all types of communication devises) is allowed in the general social areas of SFLF but not the use of the camera or video features.
Cellphone use (including any and all types of communication devises) is not allowed during workshops, demos, and other scheduled SFLF activities. Cellphones (including any and all types of communication devises) must not be visible and must be turned off or switched to silent during workshops, demos, and other scheduled SFLF activities.
No cellphones or cameras of any sort will be allowed to be used or visible past the play space doors during the on-site play parties. Any attendee seen with a cellphone past the play space doors during the on-site play parties could have his/her registration immediately cancelled and the equipment confiscated and checked to ensure that no photos or recordings were taken. That person could be banned from further participation in the 2017 event and could be permanently banned from participating in future SFLF events.
We ask that each of you assist us in watching out for any attendee who has a camera or cellphone and who might be taking photos/video. If you see a person whom you suspect is taking pictures, please contact the nearest SFLF Security Team Member and let that person know. He/she will contact a member of the SFLF Staff and we will investigate the situation.
Alcohol consumption is allowed but no attendee may be physically “drunk” at SFLF.
Non-prescription drugs are not allowed except for over-the-counter medications. Illegal or recreational drugs are absolutely not permitted anywhere at SFLF at any time. If a SFLF staff member suspects drug use or possession of drugs, the person will be immediately removed from the event with no refund of any part of paid fees.
